CEREC
Inlays/Onlays/Crowns
Let us put a smile back on your face!
Last year, we invested in the
CEREC, computer generated ceramic restorations technology and are currently
the only dentist in the area to utilize this advanced system. This produces ‘state of the art’ natural looking ceramic fillings and crowns in one
visit without the need for impressions and temporary fillings.
CEREC also helps to preserve
as much of the natural tooth tissue as possible and to deploy durable and
biocompatible materials.
The CEREC concept provides
the ideal solution for restoring teeth. CEREC restorations have proved
themselves in practice for more than a decade and their long-term durability has been borne out by scientific
follow-up studies of around 1,000 individual cases.
Why choose CEREC?
• Defect-oriented restorations that conserve
the natural teeth In terms of its technical
properties CEREC comes closest to natural dental enamel. This means that
these ceramic materials cause no more wear on the opposing teeth and on each
other than natural tooth enamel, unlike many standard ceramic or
metal/ceramic crowns.
Until today, we have
performed more than 1000 CEREC-cases successfully.
WHAT IS CEREC AND HOW DOES IT
WORK?
CEREC simply is a computer with a camera that
measures the exact [to a fraction of a mm] dimensions of a cavity prepared in
the surgery. The inlay/crown is then designed in the computer. The
information is sent wirelessly to a milling unit that precisely cuts a block
of tooth colored ceramic to the shape of the required filling: inlays,
veneers, or crowns.
